        Hinduism is a renowned culture that have spread around the world. India is the largest Hindu country of its beliefs. Many types of Rituals could be seen in the beliefs. Some seems to pure dump. The mythological aspects to have your beliefs may have astonishing effects on you. Some of them are "sarpam thullal" ,the snake dance.

For the sake of attention, it is an interesting fact that hindus believes in snakes, to have acquired the power of gods, and have gift of curing and cursing.it might appear to be dumb. In my opinion, there are certain places called "sarpa kavu" is a traditional natural sacred space seen near traditional homes in kerala,South India The site is believed to be inhabited by snakes, and the area usually contains a representation of Naga Raja (King of the Snakes) and other Naga Devatas (snake deities), where offerings and rites are performed during special ceremonies. This is a Brahminical ritual performed by certain sects of "Namboodiris" the priests,and all castes hold the Sarpa Kavu in reverence, with access forbidden to the area unless for due ceremonies.

   Here we can see astonishing facts that may look unbelievable to our eyes that snakes being friendly with humans and roam around human inhibited areas without being disturbed. They are fed with milk and other sort of stuffs by the locals. On certain days of a year, there occurs some festivals that includes this sarpam thullal in which a virgin girl dances on the snake floor and get possessed by the spirit of snake king, the “naga raja” and starts dancing as goddess. Ive seen one with my bare eyes and found it hard to believe, snakes come out of there pound and circling the girl during the ritual.
